The Infection Prevention and Control team are responsible for promoting the principles of safe, clean care and the prevention of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAIs). When visiting or accessing any of our services, you should expect to find:

Clean hands
Staff will always clean their hands before and after each patient contact. There are also hand cleaning gel dispensers available to you throughout our premises so that you can do the same!

Clean Safe Environment
All of our clinical areas will be clean and clutter free.

Clean Clinical Equipment
All clinical equipment, which is used for more than one patient, will be thoroughly cleaned after every use to prevent cross infection.

Caring, skilled staff
All our staff are committed to infection prevention and control and are trained to work in a safe, clean and professional manner. Each service has dedicated Infection Prevention 'Links' and 'Champions' who are local leaders and role models, respectively, and actively promote the principles of safe, clean, care.
